We Care’s primary means of fundraising is through membership. As a non-profit association, We Care depends entirely on voluntary contributions to provide support to all Chiquita’s employees worldwide.  Membership enables us to plan ahead for disaster relief and fund self sustainable initiatives that will support quality of life in all the Chiquita communities. 

 
Why become a member? What is the impact of your contribution?

 Your contribution is 100% tax deductible and over 99% of it goes directly to the cause.

 In a year, with a $5 bi-weekly donation you can enable:

a)  Purchase of a bed + mattress + sheets for a family in Panama
b)  Replacement of basic kitchen furniture in Costa Rica
c)  Malaria treatment for 5 people in Ivory Coast
d)  Dysentery treatment for 13 people in Ivory Coast
d)  Re-equipping a Kitchen with stove in Honduras
e)  Books and school materials in Guatemala for 6 students

This is not a far-off un-real need, this are needs of our co-workers and their communities.  Together we can create a better life for our Global Chiquita Community.
