MISSION
To
assist Chiquita associates and their communities affected by hardships
beyond their control to recover the basic
necessities of life and improve
their standard of living.
VISION
We care about the well being of our fellow global Chiquita associates and
our global community. We will provide
timely support through donations and
volunteerism, complimenting other relief efforts, to help our associates and
communities recover in the event of a disaster. We Care will work with local
communities to develop sustainable
solutions to overcome the disaster’s
impact, inspire self-reliance, and improve quality of life.
PRINCIPLES
Compassion – We Care thinks and acts with compassion in our
relief efforts. We empathize with the misfortune of
our employees their
times of need.
Dignity – We Care respects the dignity of the recipient while
delivering support. Our support will not infringe upon
desire for
self-determination and ownership of the recipient’s future.
Fairness – We Care will be fair and just, without
discrimination of any kind, while giving assistance to associates and
communities in need.
Responsibility – We Care is accountable for the appropriate
use of the resources entrusted to the organization by our
donors. We will
focus on cost-efficiency to ensure that the resources can make the most
effective impact possible

we do, especially in the managerial role of the
organization. Our internal
operating policies, procedures, finances, and actions will always be
transparent and open.
Sustainability – We Care is focused on providing the
infrastructure to ensure our capability to respond to current

potential needs of associates and their
communities. Our projects will inspire sustainable development
in our
